Trauma-Informed Psychological Intervention

Trauma-Informed Psychological Intervention is designed to support trauma survivors by recognizing trauma’s impact and promoting recovery. It aims to create a safe, supportive environment that avoids re-traumatization, fosters resilience, and empowers individuals in their healing. This workshop provides professionals with tools and strategies to integrate trauma awareness into care, enhancing support for survivors.

Syam K. Ravindran is a registered clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience in the
higher education and mental health sectors. He began his career as a faculty member at the
Department of Psychiatry, KMC, Mangalore in 2012, and later served as a supervisor for MPhil
clinical psychology trainees at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education until 2022. Currently,
Syam is associated with CONNECT & RESTORE, a virtual platform providing clinical skills
training and supervision for mental health professionals.
Syam specializes in –
● trauma-informed psychological interventions,
● Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR),
● Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT),
● Motivational Interviewing (MI).
